Don’t Fear New Orleans.

Oh, the time has come.  It’s here and then it’s gone.  Seasons don’t fear New Orleans, nor do the wind, nor the sun, nor the rain.  You can be like they are.

Come on baby, don’t fear New Orleans.  Baby, take New Orleans’ hand and don’t fear New Orleans.  You’ll feel like you’re able to fly.  Baby, this is your city.

La, la, la, la, la.

La, la, la, la, la.

Mardi Gras is done.  It’s always here even when it’s gone.  Romeo and Juliet are together for eternity like you and New Orleans should be.  Romeo and Juliet .  40,000 men and women every day redefine happiness.  40,000 men and women every day visit New Orleans.  Another 40,000 people coming every day.  You can be like they are.  Come on baby.  Don’t fear New Orleans. Baby, take New Orleans’ hand and don’t fear New Orleans.  It will seem like flying.  Don’t fear New Orleans.  Baby, this is where you belong.

La, la, la, la, la.

La, la, la, la, la.

Love of New Orleans is one.  Here today but never gone.  Came last night the sadness, and you thought you couldn’t go on.  The plane door opened and the sun appeared.  The Crescent City never disappears.  Through a curtain of fog, New Orleans appeared, and it said, “Don’t be afraid. “

Come on baby, you should have no fear.  And you fly to New Orleans, then you really start to take off.  You look backward and say goodbye.  Now you’re like they are.  You’ve taken New Orleans’ hand.  You’ve become like they are.  Come on, Baby, don’t fear New Orleans.

La Belle Esplanade in New Orleans, LA
La Belle Esplanade in the morning sure is pretty!

Don’t fear New Orleans.  Love it.  NEW ORLEANS LOVES YOU.

La, la, la, la, la.

Your New Orleans adventures await at La Belle Esplanade.  Good memories, the best kind, are made on our street.  Get off the usual tourist grid to explore and experience the real New Orleans you won’t find in the guidebooks.  You won’t regret it.

La, la, la, la, la.  Once that tune gets in your head, it’s hard to get it out.  I need to go listen to a brass band at The Balcony Music Club, at the end of our street, “where the grown folk go to play.”  There’s nothing like a little New Orleans brass band music to clear yer head.

À votre santé,

La Belle Esplanade

…..a place unlike any hotel you’ve ever stayed in, in New Orleans or anywhere else.

Sunday, October 15, 2017:   I can’t get the tune or the lyrics out of my head. No wonder it had a long run on the Billboard Top 100 in the mid-1970s.  40,000 men and women every day…40,000 men and women every day,…40,000 men and women every day—we can be like they are and visit New Orleans.  Don’t thank me for planting this into your subconscious.  You’re welcome.  You’re welcome at La Belle Esplanade, too.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing what we know about New Orleans.  Don’t fear this kaliedoscope of a city we call home.  Embrace all the wonders it holds.  Every day in New Orleans feels like flying through a dream.  You’ll see.  Don’t fear New Orleans.
