New Orleans Tomorrow

In New Orleans, tomorrow is only a day a way.  It’s gonna be a great day tomorrow.  How do I know?  Because I live in New Orleans.  Mine is a grand, wide, wonderful, superlative city, a city where dreams come true and good wishes are as plentiful as hooked fishes.  In New Orleans, you can’t keep a good person down on his or her luck.  In New Orleans, cream rises to the top of a brandy milk punch.  In New Orleans, goodwill floats as light as the egg cream on top of a Ramos Gin Fizz.  In New Orleans, you jump out of bed ready to embrace all that the day is going to bring.  It will all be good.  New Orleans can be your city, too.

New Orleans Tomorrow
Another beautiful New Orleans morning, top to bottom!

I’ve lived in New Orleans for seven years.  It seems like seven days.  Time flies at its own pace in New Orleans, full of details to relish and savor.  Frau Schmitt, who is the better half of this operation, has shared these seven years in New Orleans with me.  She, too, says that it seems like only a fraction of that long.  She is usually right about these things.  Seven days away from New Orleans makes one weak.

Seven days in New Orleans is a tonic that will put pep in your step, make your hair grow thicker, will loosen up your joints, cure your neuralgia, cure your eczema, clear up your complexion, and make you smile even when you don’t feel like smiling.  Who doesn’t feel like smiling in New Orleans?  Nobody.

New Orleans joy is infectious.

You’ll be happy in New Orleans but happiness is a superficial thing, like a winning lottery ticket or a finding a gold ring in a crackerjack box.  Joy is a spiritual state that forms a foundation of how a person experiences the world around him or her.  A person who spends enough time in New Orleans knows what joy is.  Joy seeps into your marrow and bucks up your spirit in New Orleans.  A person who spends enough time in New Orleans knows what it means to love New Orleans.

Only a sourpuss doesn’t like New Orleans.  I haven’t met a sourpuss on a New Orleans street yet.

New Orleans tomorrow
New Orleans dawn.  See the moon?

Visit New Orleans and you won’t be disappointed.  You’ll be delighted.  You’ll be enchanted.  You’ll be enriched by rewarding experiences.  You’ll be head-over-heels, stern-over-keel, all jigs-and-reels.  You know how it feels.  You’ll lose your innocence after you catch your breath.  You’ll find your innocence again when you find yourself in New Orleans, New Orleans, New Orleans.  Laissez les bon temps rouler.  There is no place else like New Orleans.  If novelty is the spice of life, New Orleans has its own routine.  You won’t fall into a rut in New Orleans.  You will dance like no one is watching.  New Orleans has a rhythm all its own.  There is no price.  It’s free.

New Orleans waits for you.  The sun will come out tomorrow.  Do you know what New Orleans is?  Come visit for a week and you will.
