Les Pêches

Les Pêches is one of our newest second-floor suites that has been redecorated to reflect the city’s love for all things seafood. The Gulf of Mexico is 100 miles away, but this port city is intimately connected to the sea. You haven’t tasted an oyster until you’ve had one on the half-shell in New Orleans, and you’ve never tasted a fish until you had blackened drum!

This large suite overlooks Esplanade Avenue and features a French-style private bath equipped with an antique cast-iron clawfoot tub with a showerhead. There is a balcony with a small cafe table and two chairs that make for a nice respite from the French Quarter. It’s a nice place to enjoy a preprandial glass of wine.  You can even turn on the balcony’s fairy lights that are wound through the ironwork for a more intimate feel. The walls are painted with what the paint store calls “Henna.” It’s very nice and the walls boast an installation inspired by Neptune’s bounty as well as original paintings by Whalehead King—a local artist who you just might meet during your stay. The charming sitting room is blue with a green ceiling and it is hung with colorful fish sculptures. Furnishings are a blend of antique and contemporary, arranged for ultimate comfort. There is also a large desk for work, if you must.
