Le Pelican Suite

Listen to the sound of New Orleans. This city moves to a rhythm all its own. A stroll down our street leads to jazz. Parades go around our block most weekends. Everybody loves a parade!

Le Pelican Suite is a second-floor, two-room suite - the most private and quiet of our accommodations. Its long balcony peeks through the oleander tree in our neighbor's backyard, super-private and super-quiet. From here you can also see the mural on the side of our neighbor's house: a two-story portrait of a Mardi Gras Indian. This is New Orleans. There are stranger things.

Furniture includes an elaborate full-size canopy bed and a craftsman-style mirror over the historic mantlepiece, all in an airy, high-ceilinged suite that is enchanting in its simplicity. Many guests prefer this suite for romantic getaways, including second honeymoons - but, truth be told, it's a favorite for single travelers, too. There is a private bath with an antique clawfoot tub equipped with a shower head.

Every day in New Orleans is a pleasant adventure. Turn any corner and find a pleasant surprise.
