The most interesting man in New Orleans.
The most interesting man in New Orleans.

I wasn’t born in New Orleans.  I’ve lived here a decade, one fifth of my life on God’s green earth.  I’m not looking to move anytime soon.  When New Orleans calls, you have to answer.  New Orleans’s call is like the call of nature.  Be yourself and let the good times roll.  It happens every day.

The sun comes up in New Orleans.
The sun comes up every day, hazy and lazy, even in the most back-of-town neighborhoods of this wonderful city we call home.

La Belle Esplanade is a small B&B hotel outside the French Quarter.  We are a 20-minute picturesque stroll from tourist-central in the French Quarter and on Frenchmen Street.  If you’ve done any research about New Orleans, you know that Frenchmen Street is where the locals go to listen to music.  We do go there—-we go to a lot of other places that aren’t in the guidebooks, too.

Visit New Orleans like you belong.  You won’t regret it.  There is jazz in the air everywhere you go.  Follow your ears and follow your heart.  You won’t get lost in New Orleans.  You’ll find the stuff from which good memories are made.  Ask anyone who lives here.  It’s really all we talk about.

VISIT NEW ORLEANS LIKE YOU BELONG HERE.

You do belong here.

We live in Tremé, a neighborhood just outside the French Quarter that is pregnant with history and traditions, both old and being born.

New Orleans is like no other city I’ve ever lived in.  Tremé is New Orleans on steroids.  Most of New Orleans is on steroids.  There are very few dull moments here in any neighborhood.

New Orleans culture is densely woven and richly textured.  You might bump into a king or you might bump into an Indian chief.  You might end up talking to the craziest way-out fool you’ve ever met, or you might just being talking to somebody who is much, much wiser than you.  You might end up talking to The Most Interesting Man in New Orleans over breakfast.
