Live long and prosper in New Orleans!

Do I Belong In New Orleans?

I got a letter in the mailbag today from a young lady.  I can’t tell you anything more about her identity than that.  Her letter was long and tear-stained.  At the end she asked me, “Do I belong in New Orleans?”

All that any one of us can do well is to do our little turn up on the catwalk.  We are all models.  New Orleans knows what I mean.  I think this young lady will know, too.

You know what I mean.  Be yourself in New Orleans and this wonderful city will treat you right.  How do I know?  I live here.  I see it happen every day.  Look at me.  New Orleans has been very good to me.

Your man in his headquarters
Your man in New Orleans.

I find myself blessed where I belong in New Orleans.  You belong here, too.  New Orleans is calling you.  You don’t have to move here, the way I did, but you do deserve yourself a decent visit.  Treat yourself right.  Invest five-seven night in New Orleans.  Answer New Orleans’ call.  You belong here.  Don’t stay awake all night, tossing and turning and turning and tossing, asking yourself, over and over and over again, “Do I belong in New Orleans?”  Listen to me.
